For Me Belot, son of a lawyer and man of principle and loyalty, the law stands out as a natural career choice. Member of the bar of Port – au Prince since 1983, he began his career in the law firm of Me Michel D. Donatien his father-in-law, a former judge at the Court of Cassation. It is with this firm that specialized in family law and more specifically in adoption that it will launch his career. Widely recognized for his knowledge of the law, he has acquired over time an impressive field of expertise particularly with respect to dossiers related to government institutions and public administration. In 2010, as a result of the earthquake that caused the collapse of his own firm, he joined the Cabinet Salès law firm at the request of his colleague and longtime friend, Jean-Frédéric Salès, with whom he shares a deep respect for the profession. With the anticipation of an increase in adoption related cases brought about by the humanitarian crisis the talent and expertise of Me Belot was a natural and necessary addition to the Cabinet Sales law firm.
Man of action, averse to routine, he continues to challenge his knowledge in other fields of expertise and Business law in particular. Aside his regular responsibility and activities at the firm and as a testament to his sense of duty he also acts as a legal adviser and Secretary to the governing body of the Haitian Red Cross.
